The gloomily philosophical synth-pop band from Essex, England collaborate with their longtime visual partner, photographer-turned-music video director Anton Corbijn, on this gorgeous performance film. DEVOTIONAL, filmed during the band's 1993 World Tour, is a compilation of live performances which includes impassioned renditions of "I Feel You," "Personal Jesus," "Never Let Me Down Again," and "Enjoy the Silence," among others.
DM always gives their fans way over 100% at all their concerts & this DVD is a prime example of it. Dave Gahan is one of the best "frontmen" in the business & you see all his talents in this concert. He sings with such passion, energy & sensuality that it enhances the brilliant lyrics written by Martin Gore. The DVD is one disc only; no extra's but it doesn't need it. It's like having a private, one night only concert performance in your own living room. You will not be disappointed in this DVD.

1993年正是西雅图Grunge浪潮横扫欧美乐坛之时，“涅磐”、“珍珠酱”、“声音花园”等乐队迅速成为乐坛新宠，流行天王迈克尔·杰克逊以及“枪炮与玫瑰”之类的重金属乐队统统风光不再。在一片Grunge之声中，出道十余年的新潮流乐队“赶时髦”的新专辑却依然登上排行榜榜首，这在当时是一个奇迹。
此套双张DVD影片是乐队当年配合发行新专辑《信仰和奉献之歌》(Songs Of Faith and Devotion)进行世界巡演的纪录片，收录了巴塞罗那和法兰克福2站演唱会的实况。DVD的导演是知名摇滚艺人摄影师、导演安顿·柯比金(Anton Corbiin)，他与“赶时髦”乐队长期以来都保持着合作关系。
由于“赶时髦”彼时正处事业巅峰，唱片公司对演唱会的舞台设计、灯光等方面都舍得下血本，因此在视觉效果上极具冲击力，再加上柯比金的独特创意和镜头构思，使得这部纪录片完美再现了这支英伦乐坛的前卫乐队在最佳演出状态下的精彩表演。
1993年该片发行VHS版本后，即获得同年格莱美奖“最佳音乐录影长片”奖项的入围提名。除了现场演出的《私人耶稣》、《享受寂寞》等乐队经典曲目，花絮部分还附赠《真理法则》(Policyof Truth)等6首重新进行后期处理的音乐录影带，以及导演柯比金访谈、乐队巡演日记、相册等内容。
